Is it safe to be in building made from asbestos?

Cement bound asbestos board is safe provided it's in good condition and you don't cut it or drill it. The risk to you is more from the cement than the asbestos. I suggest you give the inside of it a couple of coats of emulsion paint to prevent dust flaking off.
