Is there asbestos in an 1970 Canadian gas-mask filter (C69)?

I have heard that filters made in some countries prior to 1970 has blue asbestos in the cartridge, does the C69 mask contain this compound? DONT SPECULATE, IF YOU DONT KNOW DONT SAY
