I think it's nice that she's taking care of her little sister while you're taking care of her. It sounds like you're being a really nice, sweet guy. But make sure you respect her. Don't bring up the subject, ESPECIALLY since she's going through massive, emotional stress. Just continue to be there for her and support her through her hard time.
