About 6 years ago my boyfriend was helping his dad remodel his house and had worked with asbestos.My boyfriend?

Had a mask on and claims he held his breath as he removed his clothes to clean them, but now to this day he is worried he inhaled some fibers and is going to get sick from it later on, cause I guess it takes a while to notice like 10 + years. He has a cold right now and his chest hurts him as he exhales and he said something about his rift lung hurting. He thinks it all has to do with the asbestos years ago. And due to his lack of insurance he wont go to a doctor... I'm really worried about him. Can someone help me??? Could he really be sick or is he just over reacting a little cause he is worried???
