Fear making me want to move?

I'm afraid of inhaling asbestos fibers and getting lung cancer. I'm living with my bf since we live across the country from each other so I can get to know his family. However, I keep thinking all these things. His house had popcorn ceiling removal and his mom even said wasn't asbestos but I can't keep thinking there's fibers on the blankets we use. I buy new clothes weekly incase there are fibers anywhere but I can't keep doing it because I'll have no money. I do laundry all the time. Advice?
