Worried about asbestos in ceiling that has holes in it?

I live in an apartment and I remember when I signed the lease it said that the walls may contain asbestos. I didnt think anything of it. I have been here for about two years. In my bathroom ceiling the ceiling has a hole in it and in my living room there are two holes in the ceiling, done by accident. My question is am I being exposed to asbestos everyday now, or is it okay if we dont touch it? I am going to call the complex and have them fix it, but i was wondering if anyone knew any information. I really dont know too much about asbestos. If we havent touched it, are we okay or does it keep going in the air? Thanks so much...
